They say that the best Chinese restaurants typically have between 3 & 4 stars online, and this is no exception. That being said, I can't see any way to give less than a five star review! Number 1 has been my go-to Chinese spot since I moved to Bay View. The food is exactly what you hope for. They have vegetarian options, both with and without meat substitutes. I haven't had orange chicken for probably 20 years, but now I can have it whenever I want. The veggie fried rice is delicious. The food is consistently good, and the delivery is affordable! The food arrives hot every time. I can't say enough good things about this place!
Absolutely fabulous!! I have recently just moved to the area and I have been on the search to finding my new favorite Chinese place and this was hands down the best I’ve found! The gentleman that answered the phone spoke fluently in English and I felt confident that my order was placed correctly and asked which special I would like. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken with shrimp fried rice lunch special with crab Rangoons and egg rolls. The chicken is crispy, the crab ragoons are filled with sweet cream cheese with crab pieces, and the eggs rolls are crispy and the rice had plenty of shrimp pieces. When I walked into pick up my order it was clean spacious and inviting. I will be ordering from here and only here.
Great tasting Chinese food. Not everything needs to be an Asian fusion restaurant, and this place makes crave-worthy dishes. I ordered the Orange Chicken "dinner special" which for 12 came with large portions of Orange Chicken and your choice of fried rice style (pork for me) as well as either egg drop (my choice) or sweet and sour soup. I'll keep coming back.
I love this place. The food is always super amazing. I love the shrimp Mei fun and orange chicken and egg rolls and their egg drop soup is super amazing. Also the crab Rangoon yummy! The employees are always super friendly and delivery is super fast all the time for me. Thank you No 1 Chinese for feeding my family numerous times!!! :)
This is all I ever needed out of an affordable Chinese restaurant!
We haven’t ordered from here in a long while and I just wanted to say everything looks and tasted delicious! Even the eggrolls were fresh and crispy! We even got a nice calendar for next year Update: 4/3/25 I have to post again! Very good again today, it’s tastes very authentic and reminds me of going to the restaurants as a child! Wow! Keep it up!
Less than 8 dollars for sweet n sour chicken w/shrimp fried rice and it was pretty good too, their english on the phone is a little rough, they can understand you but you might have a hard time understanding them
Incredible Chinese Takeout! It’s hard to find a solid Chinese place in MKE that serves up boneless spare ribs, but this place does and they nail it! Fried rice, crab Rangoon, egg rolls are all yummy too. Highly recommended!
